The website

What your website is built to do

Every site in this round is built by the Webiyo team in Des Moines around four jobs.

Bring in more donors

A clear way to give on every page, so someone who cares about your cause can act on it in a minute.

Get you found

Built so people searching Google, or asking an AI tool where to give or volunteer nearby, can find you.

Look like the work you do

A clean, fast site that works on a phone and tells your story without clutter.

Make it easy to reach you

Hours, events, volunteer sign-ups and contact details where your community expects them.

The whole point is to help the people who help our community.

The credit

How the grant works

We call it a grant because your nonprofit pays nothing. It comes as credit for our work, not as money.

$3,000 in Webiyo credit

Each nonprofit gets $3,000 to spend on a Webiyo website. We apply it to your build, so you pay nothing for the site.

A website, and only a website

The credit pays for a new or rebuilt site, plus your first year of hosting and a .com domain if you need one. It does not include a monthly SEO or AI visibility plan.

Not cash

The credit has no cash value. It cannot be refunded, exchanged for money or passed to another organization. Any credit left when your site is finished expires.

The site is yours

When it goes live, you own it. After the first year, hosting with us is $120 a year, or you can move the site and host it yourself.

In plain terms: this is an in-kind grant. You receive our work, up to $3,000 of it, and never a payment.

Donors and volunteers look you up before they show up

When someone in Iowa wants to donate, volunteer or find help, they search Google or ask an AI tool first. In 2026, 68% of Google searches ended without a click, because the answer was already on the page. If your nonprofit is hard to find or your site is out of date, people may never reach you.

A clear, fast website helps your organization get found, trusted and chosen. It also matters for free programs like Google Ad Grants, which requires a quality website to qualify.

Nonprofit grant questions

Something we didn't cover? Ask us

Is the Webiyo nonprofit grant really free?

Yes. Each recipient gets $3,000 in Webiyo credit, which pays for a new or rebuilt website. It is free to apply.

Is this a cash grant?

No. It is an in-kind grant. You receive $3,000 of Webiyo website work, not money. The credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash or transferred to another organization. Any credit left when your website is finished expires.

What does the grant pay for?

A new or rebuilt website for your nonprofit, built by the Webiyo team: designed to bring in donors, help people find you, and make it easy for your community to reach you.

Does the grant cover hosting and a domain?

Yes, for the first year. The credit covers one year of Webiyo hosting, where we keep the site online and manage it, and a .com domain if you need one. After the first year, hosting with us is $120 a year. You can also move the site and host it yourself, but then we do not manage it.

Does it include SEO or a monthly plan?

No. The grant pays for the website only. Monthly SEO and AI visibility plans are separate and optional, and nobody is asked to sign up for one.

Who can apply for the grant?

Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits based in Iowa, including churches and religious organizations.

How are grant recipients chosen?

On a rolling basis. A person reviews each application as it arrives, and if your nonprofit qualifies, we start on your website. Spots are awarded until all 10 are filled.

Do we need to send proof of our 501(c)(3) status?

No. You don't need to send documents to apply. We check the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search before we start.

When is the application deadline?

Applications close January 22, 2027, or sooner if all 10 spots are filled. We review applications as they come in, so applying early helps.

What do you ask in return?

Two small things. We would like to show your new website as an example of our work, and to keep a small "Website by Webiyo" link in its footer.

We already have a website. Can we still apply?

Yes. We can rebuild your current site or improve it, depending on what it needs.

Do we need to be in Des Moines?

No. Nonprofits anywhere in Iowa can apply. The Webiyo team is based in Des Moines and works with organizations across the state.

What happens after the site is live?

You own the website. The first year of hosting is covered. After that you choose: keep hosting with us for $120 a year, or host it yourself.

Will there be another round?

We plan to run the grant again. Apply now for Round 1, and email info@webiyo.tech to hear about future rounds.
